Yes, you can wash your Kor Water bottles in the top rack except for Chrome and Rose Gold Kor ONEs.  The specialized metallic paint may chip in the dishwasher.

We would recommend hand washing with hot water, a small drop of dish soap and a bottle brush. Use a nipple brush for hard to reach areas. Store your bottle with the lid open or off whenever possible to avoid unwanted moisture build up.

We recommend washing your bottle daily.

No. Please do not microwave any of your Kor products.

Kor bottles feature an innovative cap and seal that is completely leak-proof when fully closed. If you think your bottle might be leaking, please check these potential causes: 

• The water may be coming from residual water that is trapped outside the spout and but within the cap before closing. 
• It is possible that residual water has been trapped within the side trims of the Kor bottle when washing or refilling.  
• Make sure that you have closed the lid properly and it has clicked into place.  If the bottle lid is not fully closed, water may leak out.

For the ONE, Delta, and Nava, be sure to firmly push down on the cap and ensure the latch closures have fully engaged. The ONE has 2 opposing latches. You should hear a "snap" sound when the cap is securely closed.

We do have replacement lids for most of our bottles available on our website.  Please send an email to customercare@korwater.com if you don’t see your lid on our website.

We don't recommend it with our BPA Free plastic bottles because the sides of the bottle may get very hot to the touch. Please do not put your Kor in hot water — refer to our safe cleaning instructions. However, you can put hot liquids in our stainless steel bottles.

We don't recommend it because the pressure from the carbonation in soda pop, beer, sparkling water, etc. can build up inside the bottle and can compromise the seal, causing the bottle to leak or in some cases, break the cap.

Yes. The mouth of the Kor bottles are large enough to handle most ice cubes.

Yes. Before use, you should either thoroughly rinse your bottle with soap and warm water or run it through the dishwasher in the top rack. Excludes One Chrome and One Rose Gold: DO NOT wash One Chrome or Rose Gold in the dishwasher.

Our stainless steel bottles will keep your water cold for at least 24 hours.  Our tritan bottles do not have that capability, however, were designed with large spouts to make ice refills easy peasy!

No way!  We sometimes hear this complaint about polycarbonate, steel, aluminum and HDPE bottles. Kor bottles are made from Eastman Tritan™ — or in the case of Devi, food-grade stainless steel — which has no odor or taste!

Nava was designed for use with potable water only. It will not remove harmful microbes, such as Giardia, which may be present in the tap water of some countries. We recommend only using Nava with potable tap water in the following areas: USA, Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Nevertheless we encourage you to ensure your water meets the equivalent or better of potable water in the U.S. for which the Nava was tested.

Nava's filter was designed for use with potable water only. Lakes, streams and other backcountry water sources may contain harmful microorganisms such as Giardia. Nava's filter will not remove these.

We encourage you to bring Nava wherever you go! Just note that altitude or heat can cause pressure to build up in Nava, which will cause water to spurt from the mouthpiece when the cap is opened. It’s physics, it’s not us!

To prevent this, twist the lid open about a quarter turn to release the pressure. Then tighten the lid back on, sip and enjoy!

If you want to drink flavored beverages, just remove the filter and the Nava will work fine. Otherwise, you might ruin the filter and/or cause your beverage to taste bad.

Yes, it will work great! You can use it just like a standard awesome bottle with a built in straw.

If not replaced after 40 gallons, the filter will still be usable but will not be as effective. If you keep using it, eventually it will lose all ability to filter your water. The worst that will happen is your water will start to taste like what came from your tap.

As with any natural product, once the seal on the package has been broken, potency may reduce over time.   To ensure maximum effectiveness, you should replace your filter if opened for 3 months or more.

We don’t recommend freezing a moist filter because the water will expand when frozen, which may lead to breakage. Therefore you should inspect the filter. If it isn’t cracked or broken, it will still function.

Unfortunately, Nava won't remove much iron from the water. Activated carbon is generally not very effective for that purpose.

Nava’s filter is primarily designed to make tap water taste and smell great. It does this by reducing the amount of chlorine in the water. It has been tested by an independent lab to meet or exceed the NSF Standard 42, Class II for chlorine removal. 

Please make sure that your Nava is only used with potable water.

Nava's filter has been tested to reduce chlorine. While it has not been tested for the removal of minerals and other dissolved solids, activated carbon filters, such as the Nava's, are not very effective for such uses. Reverse osmosis filters and water softeners are your best bet for improving the taste of hard water.

In our tests, subjects gave high ratings to Nava's taste and consistently preferred it to tap water. It's also worth mentioning that many leading bottled water brands are simply filtered tap water.

Congratulations on your new Water Fall! Here are a few tips to get you started. 

1. Filter Unpacking - You may see tiny, fine particles of the coconut carbon on the filter surface and rim (a result of impact during it’s travels).  This is normal and completely safe.  Water Fall's filter media is made from organic coconut shells that are extremely fine. Prior to presoaking, simply run the filter under water to rinse the top.  It's ok to move the rubber seal around the outside to completely rinse off the filter.

2. Soak the Filter - You can use any regular zip lock or non leaking bag to soak your filter.   Fill it up, zip it shut, remove as much air as possible and soak for 10 minutes. You can also soak your filter for 10 minutes in a bowl of water, placing a weight on it to keep it submerged. Pre-soaking preps your filter to allow water to flow through it much quicker. 

3. Test Run - Test Run after you insert your pre-soaked filter into Water Fall, fill one of your carafes with tap water and pour into the top.  Turn the on/off knob in the front clockwise 90 degrees to open the flow for filtering. When complete, turn the knob back to the closed position.  Discard the first 1-2 carafes of water to properly prime filter.

Enjoy! Remember - the filter lasts up to 80 gallons (that's 150 refills). On average, this lasts a family of 4 about 2 months.

Each carafe holds exactly 1 liter ( about 34 ozs), the same volume as the reservoir. This takes the guesswork out of how much water you should fill into the reservoir. Simply fill a carafe with water from your tap, pour into the top reservoir of Water Fall, turn the dial and let it flow!

Your coconut carbon filter was specifically designed to filter both chlorine and chloramine, which are two of the primary culprits causing the unpleasant odor and taste in tap water! In other words, yes, your water will taste fresh and crisp!

Yes! One of the great features of the Water Fall by Kor filtration system is the ability to add ice and other infusions directly into the carafe.

Only the glass carafes and caps are dishwasher safe.  Please hand wash the rest of your system. Never place your filter in the dishwasher as this will damage it permanently. Remove filter when washing. Do not take apart the reservoir and filter housing to clean.

There is no need to take apart the filter housing and clear water reservoir to clean unless you see obvious build up.

The carafes can be hand washed or washed in the dishwasher.

Our carafes are made from glass with silicone/SAN caps. The stand and filter housing are made from ABS plastic. The clear reservoir and lid are made from SAN plastic. The filters contain catalytic carbon, derived from coconut shells, inside a polypropylene casing. Everything in Water Fall is of course, BPA-free.

Kor recommends not using the filter with water above 100 F. A good range is 38-100 F. Fill the carafe with cold water only, never hot. Hot water can cause the opposite effect you want from your filter!

Yes, the carafe is made from glass so please be handle with care.

Kor has researched the water market thoroughly and came to the determination that chloramine (in addition to chlorine) presents a significant, and unaddressed issue within our tap water. It is our opinion that many of the NSF 53 contaminants picked up by most filtered pitchers are not as concerning as the growth of chloramine in tap water. However, we fully expect to offer a variety of filtration standards and water enhancements with the Water Fall by Kor platform in the near future.

Water Fall's filter has been custom developed by Kor to remove chlorine, chloramine (chlorine+ammonia) and objectionable tastes and odors found in tap water. It will also reduce hydrogen sulfide and other specific organic contaminants. Our internal tests have demonstrated a rating to 80 gallons meeting NSF 42 for chlorine and chloramine.

Our  tests have shown consistent filtration results for 80 gallons.

Each filter will last 80 gallons.  We will also send you a reminder when it’s about time to change.  If you sign up for a subscription, your filter will be on your doorstep when you need it!

We have worked with filter experts to develop a functional and sustainable catalytic coconut shell carbon filter. The white filter case is made from BPA-free, health-safe polypropylene - the same stuff your greek yogurt comes in!

Replacing the filter is simple.

There is no need to take apart the filter housing and clear water reservoir to replace the filter.

Remove the new filter from the wrapper and soak in water to remove air and ensure flow. 

To properly soak, fully submerge it upright for 10 minutes. While the filter is submerged, it should be shifted at an angle from side to side until no more air bubbles exit the top of the filter. When the filter is properly wetted out, it should barely float on the water surface. This first soaking will rinse any loose carbon particles and help speed the flow of filtering. 

Once the filter has been properly soaked, press the filter firmly into place in the filter housing in your Water Fall stand.

The Water Fall filter takes approximately 2 to 3 minutes to filter a liter of water. Timing can vary based upon how frequently or recent you last filtered water, as filter wetness can affect the speed of flow.

Water Fall has been designed to filter water that is already "potable", or considered safe to drink. Almost all tap water in the US is highly regulated and treated to be safe for drinking (this excludes well water and non-tap water sources). For other countries outside the US, you should research whether your tap water is potable and safe.

The materials are in the filter itself are recyclable before it is used. However, after usage, it has absorbed the chlorine & chloramine that used to be in your water, and that is not recyclable. We are working on a filter recycling program. Please stay tuned for updates on this program!

Soaking is an important step in setting up and maintaining your Water Fall filter. This process eliminates air from the filter which maintains the water flow and contaminant reduction performance.

Like all carbon filters, Water Fall may release small grains of carbon into your water on occasion. These are completely safe to drink. You can minimize this by rinsing and soaking your filter before installation as instructed for 10 minutes.

When fully assembled for use the WF stands at 16.5" inches high, 7" cm wide and 6.5" inches deep. Each carafe measures: 9" inches high, 3.5" cm diameter and holds one liter of water (equal to 999.6 ml).

Water Fall has been designed to fit on countertops under standard 17" kitchen cabinets. It's comparable in height/size as most coffee makers or devices such as a SodaStream unit.

The Carafe is 10 inches tall with lid by 4 inches in diameter. The Carafe capacity is 1 liter. (1000 mL)(34 oz)

Yes. You can put ice, fruit and drink mixes into the carafes either before or after the water has filtered. (Do not put additives or fruit into the water reservoir prior to filtering.) With our multi carafes system, your options for cold, filtered beverages are endless! Just make sure to put the add ons in your carafe and reduce the amount of water you put into the filter as your infusions will take up volume.

Long story short, no, since product is charred, it is unlikely there would be any cross contamination with nuts. However, we are not able to claim all manufacturing facilities are nut free. 

If you have used a charcoal water filter before, it's likely been produced under the same conditions and there shouldn’t be a problem but we cannot guarantee absolute non-contamination.

To prep filter, rinse under running water for 20 seconds. Then, soak overnight (8 hours) in water within bottle (do not yet place filter in straw). Soaking in water helps optimize the minerals in filter for first use. 

While every person is different, we recommend drinking three (3) bottles of Kor Plus daily to receive the optimum hydrogen benefits. Kor Plus can be a central part of your overall daily hydration such as regular water, coffee, juice, water-rich foods, etc.

For best performance, consider drinking one bottle slowly and consistently in the morning, afternoon and evening at times other than eating and exercise. Drinking Kor Plus before and after your workout may help your performance and recovery.

We do not recommend drinking water, including Kor Plus, shortly before, during or up to one hour after eating. Instead, we recommend liquefying your foods through chewing, which activates your digestive system (and digestive hormones followed by enzymes). Drinking Kor Plus antioxidant and alkaline water on an empty stomach does not trigger your digestive system in the way certain foods do.

Kor Plus works best when consumed in the hours leading up to exercise and hours after. As the filter restricts flow in order to enhance water with antioxidants and electrolytes, drinking Kor Plus during heavy exercise might prove challenging for some. Further, proper hydration is best achieved through consumption leading up to and after exercise. Consider removing the filter and storing in tube during exercise if needed.

Use the Kor Plus filter tube with cap for safe keeping while you wash your bottle.

Kor Plus filter should be changed every month when your new filter arrives. The Kor Plus filter has been designed to provide optimum filtration, antioxidant H2, electrolytes and alkaline water for 1 month based on normal (3 to 5 bottles/day) use. Kor Plus filters are sold by subscription too, so you'll never forget to change your filter.

Bisphenol-A, also known as BPA, is a chemical that is commonly used to make polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate is the most common type of plastic used in clear water bottles. BPA has been linked to a variety of health issues, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer and early onset of puberty. The longer a liquid sits in a container made with BPA, the more of it leaches into that liquid. The hotter the liquid and the older the container, the faster this leaching occurs.

The controversy over BPA has escalated in recent years as more scientific data has accumulated. While government agencies such as the National Toxicology Program (NTP) and the Center for the Evaluation of Risks to Human Reproduction (CERHR) have called for a ban on BPA, the Food and Drug Administration believes these measures are premature and that more research is required. As a company, we place the utmost priority on the health safety of our products. While there is still debate over the health impact of BPA, we didn't want to leave anything to chance. That's why none of our products contain BPA.

Nava's filter consists of small rod (about 2" 3/4 long) made from densely packed activated carbon granules. The manufacturing process starts with coconut shells that are heated to high temperatures, which converts them into activated carbon. The carbonized shells are then ground into granules of uniform size, mixed with a small amount of polyethylene binder and formed into rods that are heated until solid. A small silicon cap is attached to the end of each rod to help optimize water flow and cushion the filter during use.

Activated carbon has been used for thousands of years to purify water. Here's why: In its natural state, carbon has a strong affinity for absorbing organic compounds such as chlorine and benzene. Activated carbon is simply a form of carbon that has been processed under high heat to become extremely porous (in fact, a teaspoon of activated carbon has roughly the surface area of a football field). Combined with carbon's natural absorptive properties, all that surface area enables a tremendous amount of absorption when water passes through the filter.

Activated carbon is manufactured by heating organic materials to very high temperatures. This typically results in a large release of greenhouse gasses. Our supplier uses a proprietary process that reduces emissions by trapping greenhouse gasses and reusing them to produce thermal energy.

No, but we're working on it. Our primary goal was to provide a BPA-free product using a clear, durable material. Eastman Tritan™ was therefore the obvious choice for the bottle body on the Kor ONE, Delta, and Aura. But while Tritan is fully recyclable, it is so new that it is not currently available in recycled form. As the market for Tritan matures, we expect this will change.

While pushing the release button found on the front of the lid tilt the lid backward using the handle. This may take 2 hands especially if small hands. Tilting the lid may take some force the first time or two but will ease with use.  Note: The Kor ONE lid is not a “pop open” lid. 

The click you will hear when opening your Kor ONE is normal. This is the lid lock doing its job to keep the lid from flipping back while you drink. 

Use even pressure to close your lid making sure you hear the clicks and both latches are secure. If only one side catches your bottle may leak.

Slide Lock up to unlock. While pushing release button found on the front of the lid tilt the lid backward using handle if necessary. This can take 2 hands the first time or two. The opening mechanism can be taut at first but will ease with use for easy one-handed use. The lid does have a pop-open feature that becomes easier with use.

Use even pressure to close your lid making sure you hear the latch click. Slide your lock down to lock and you're good to go!

With lid closed, using 1 hand on the body and 1 hand on the lid, give the lid a twist to release and remove.

Push release button on front of lid. The lid should pop-open.

With the lid closed twist off entire lid. Remove straw by twisting (please do not pull).

Rinse the filter under running water for 20 seconds. 
Insert filter into straw with plugged side down. (black solid end)
Attach the straw to the lid. Do not over tighten.
Attach lid to vessel. 
Push button on lid to release cap and enjoy!

Twist off the cap. The spout section can also be removed by twisting to allow for a larger opening for ice.

Replace Spout section by Twisting onto bottle body until firm. Lid can then be secured onto the spout by twisting until firm.

 Ride v1 will work with Wilshire and ONE.

Slide Ride over your bottle to the midway point of your bottle. The fit should be snug. Then place your bottle against the surface you are attaching your bottle to and wrap the flap around the surface and bottle joining the nylon fastener (hook & loop) securely.

Spot clean with soft cloth and mild soap. Do not Bleach, dry clean, tumble dry or iron.

Twist the cap to remove. To close, replace the cap and twist until firm.

To fill Union, with lid closed, twist the lid to remove. 

To open Union to drink, slide the lock button to the unlocked position. Press near the top center on the half moon button to the left of the lock to release the lid.

To close Union, press lid closed near water drop until you hear a "click". Slide the lock button to the locked position.
