How often should you change your Nava filter?
There is a personal answer. It actually depends on you and your hydration – how much do YOU drink each month?
A more frequent filter replacement plan is better than waiting until the last minute. Most filters are rated to perform “up to” a certain water volume. To complicate things further, filter ratings only guarantee to remove 50% or more of contaminants. So while a filter may be rated to 40 gallons, it means that as you near 40 gallons your filter might only be working at 50% effectiveness. Crummy, right?
KOR believes you should be informed and customize your filter plan to meet your hydration needs. The chart below can be used as a rough guideline.
Liters You Drink / Day | Suggested Filter Change | Order a 2-Pack |
1 — 1.5 (= 4 glasses/day) | Every 3 months | Every 6 months |
1.5 — 2.0 (= 8 glasses/day) | Every 2 months | Every 4 months |
> 2.0 ( > 8 glasses/day) | Every 1 month | Every 2 month |
